Terms of Service
These terms cover playing Rift Crew, a game you play inside Discord or in your web browser signed in with Discord, which is in alpha testing. They apply the same way in both. By playing, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 and meet Discord's minimum age where you live. You also have to follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while you play.
It's an alpha
- The game is unfinished. Expect bugs, downtime and features that change or disappear.
- Progress may be reset at any time, including between test rounds. Don't count on keeping it.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them freely, without owing you anything.
Your account
You sign in with Discord, and you're responsible for what happens on your account. Don't share it or play on someone else's.
Credits and items
In-game credits, items, ships and other rewards are part of the game. They have no real-money value, you don't own them, and they can't be sold, traded or exchanged for money or anything outside the game. Rift Crew doesn't sell anything during the alpha, and its games of chance use in-game credits only.
Play fair
Don't:
- cheat, use bots or automation, or exploit bugs (report them instead);
- attack, overload, or try to break into the game or its servers;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players;
- use names that are offensive or pretend to be someone else;
- break the law or anyone else's rights.
Discord server admins can block players from missions in their server. We can warn you, reset your progress, or suspend or remove your access if you break these rules, or if we need to protect the game or other players.
Our game
Rift Crew, including its code, art, music and text, belongs to us. You can play it for your own non-commercial use; please don't copy, sell, or reverse-engineer it.
No guarantees
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that your progress will be kept.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or progress, from your use of the game. Our total liability to you for anything related to the game is limited to the greater of what you paid us to play in the past 12 months (nothing, during the alpha) or $50.
Ending
You can stop playing at any time, and ask us to delete your data (see the Privacy Policy). We can change, pause or end the game, or these terms. If we change the terms, we'll update the date at the top; if you keep playing after that, you accept the new terms.
